My firm provides a wide range of services to individuals and businesses in a variety of industries. I strive to meet each client's specific needs in planning for the future and achieving their goals in an ever-changing financial and regulatory environment.
My professional services include:
This service includes the preparation of all Federal and State (resident and non-resident states) tax forms as well as the calculation of estimated tax payments for the next year if estimates are necessary. All tax forms are filed electronically from my office with acceptance notification from the Internal Revenue Service and the State taxing authorities once the returns have been processed and accepted.
The initial review of tax documents can either be done in a face-to-face meeting at my office, the documents can be dropped off at my office, the documents can be mailed to my office or the documents can be scanned and e-mailed to me. No matter which method is used, as the returns are being prepared I will review each document, make a list of any questions, concerns and/or missing information and will then call or e-mail you to resolve any open issues or to give you the final results. Mailing or e-mailing the information is most commonly used in situations where the client is located either out of state or is local but does not feel that a face-to-face meeting is necessary.
No one can predict the future perfectly, but we can all benefit from planning for it. Through years of preparing tax projections I have the expertise and experience to produce financial projections that can help you determine future tax liabilities based on current financial information.
From start-ups to established enterprises, businesses rely on accurate and insightful financial information in order to maintain profitability and capitalize on new opportunities. The accounting services I provide will steer you closer to these goals with accurate record-keeping and reporting as well as support on financial issues such as initial accounting system setup, cost-containment, tax planning, investments, and employee benefit and profit-sharing plans.
These services include but are not limited to:
QuickBooks can provide useful and timely information in the form of financial statements, reports and graphs. However, it can only provide this information if you purchase the right product and then install, setup and use it properly. I don't just help you use the software, I help you use it more efficiently and more effectively.
I offer the following solutions to help meet your QuickBooks needs:
I train you personally! Either one-on-one or several individuals within your organization at your company's location.
I install QuickBooks on your stand alone computer or in a network environment, in either single- or multi-user mode.
I assist new QuickBooks users with initial setup including: EasyStep Interview, Preferences, Lists, Customers, Vendors, Employees, Banking and Reports. I also help experienced users manage their businesses more effectively by improving their current setup. Many users experience problems and lack the ability to generate and track important information as a result of inadequate setup.
Professional representation can be vital during an audit. Over the years I have been involved in representing clients in both Federal and State audit examinations. If you have been chosen for an audit, the professional representation you can find with my firm can put many of your worries at bay. I am ready and willing to answer any and all questions the IRS or State taxing authority may be asking of you.
Effective estate and trust planning can ensure financial security for loved ones. For businesses, it can maintain a smooth succession of ownership. The CPA's role is to help you navigate the complex and shifting tax laws to facilitate the transfer of assets and minimize the tax liability of your beneficiaries. Everyone should have a well-thought-out plan as to how to distribute the assets left in one's estate so as to avoid complications and to be sure that the individual’s wishes are followed. Having your taxes and estate thoroughly and carefully planned will ensure that your loved ones don't have any complications to deal with during a time of loss. In addition to the tax and accounting side, I will communicate with your other financial advisors in order to provide the best outcome for your situation.
My goal is to help you reach your financial goals and maintain financial independence through a comfortable retirement. With the help of your financial advisor, or if you don't have a financial advisor, with the help of certified financial planners and other financial advisors I network with we can guide you through tough decision-making processes such as asset allocation, investment performance monitoring, college education funding, retirement plans, insurance, and tax, estate, and business succession planning. Whether you are developing an investment strategy or evaluating current investments, we can ensure that your portfolio will take into account tax implications for an advantageous after-tax return. The road to retirement is a long one and I can help you to take the proper steps to reach your goals. NOTE: Financial and investment advice is given only by the financial advisors that you deal with. My services involve determining the tax implications of your investing. I do not directly provide investment advice to my clients.
Accurate record-keeping is essential to a successful business yet can also be complicated and time consuming. I work closely with local bookkeepers who can help you with the organization and day-to-day tasks of bookkeeping so that you can focus on your core business.
Your business entity has a large impact on your taxes and other liabilities. From your company's inception through its growth and development, I can advise you on choosing an entity type and later restructuring if advantageous. With this knowledge and expertise, you will always be receiving the most advantageous entity type for the functions your business performs.
Using QuickBooks or any other payroll service I can help you reduce the time spent on administration through developing and implementing a computerized payroll system that will facilitate processing, timely payment and preparation of tax returns.
Whether your needs are corporate or personal, I can assist you in sorting out the different options available for debt management and financing that will lower your payments and/or reduce the total amount of interest paid. Re-balancing your debts can also result in tax deduction savings.
If you are considering starting a business, whether part or full-time it is important that you get off on the right foot. From an accounting and tax standpoint the first step is to determine what your filing requirements will be. This would include registering your business with the various taxing authorities as well as choosing the type of entity you will be operating as (sole proprietorship, single member LLC, partnership, multi-member LLC, S-corporation or C-Corporation). This should all be done before you actually go into business.
In addition, you need to determine how you will be tracking financial information including sales, operating costs, tax liabilities and other financial information. This can be done by using a manual bookkeeping system or using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
We will discuss all aspects of running a business and I will be available at any time to answer questions or concerns as they come up.
